Castillo
Origen:Castellano. La familia de este apellido, se origina en la antigua merindad de Trasmiera en las montañas de Santander y Burgos, remontando su filiación hasta el célebre López del Castillo, que estuvo con el Rey Alfonso XI en todas las jornadas de su reinado y guerras contra los moros. Cristobal García del Castillo, llamado el del Noguer por el pueblo de su nacimiento, sirvió como capitán en la segunda expedición del General Pedro de Vera desde el 18 de agosto de 1480 hasta el 29 de abril de 1483, día de sant Pedro Martin, en que terminó la conquista de la Gran Canaria y quedó incorporada la isla a los dominios de España.
A su costa levantó Cristobal Garcia del Castillo la iglesia parroquial de Telde, que puso bajo la advocación del glorioso San Juan Bautista y es uno de los más hermosos y antiguos templos de la región, objeto constante de la religiosa espléndidez de su familia y en cuyo presbitero luce un magnífico retablo que trajo de Flandes.
En la ciudad de Telde, instituyo el Mayorazgo de la Casa de Castillo, con expresa condición de rigurosa varonía, para que siempre y en todos tiempos exista su memoria. Don Pedro de Agustin del Castillo, nació en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria el 28 de abril de 1669.
Descripción del Escudo de Armas: En campo de gules, un castillo de plata, surmontado de una flor de lis del mismo metal, y tapando la puerta del castillo, un árbol de sinople y dos perros atados a su tronco con cadenas.

La primera con doña Juana de Guzmán, tía del Rey don Enrique II; la segunda con doña Urraca Ponce de León y la tercera con doña Teresa de Haro. El linaje del apellido Enríquez, entroncó con ilustres linajes, como los Córdoba (1444), Cabrera (1518), Manrique (1562), Gaitán (1601), Luján (1610), Dávila (1662), Luna (1787), Quintana (1794), etc. Sería imposible describir tan noble y extensa trayectoria del apellido Enríquez. Sólo resta resumir que sus descendientes brillaron como Caballeros de las órdenes de Santiago, Calabrava y Carlos III, fundadas por los Estamentos Nobles, para premiar la virtud y el mérito justificados en favor del servicio real.Etimológicamente, el nombre Henríquez, variación ortográfica del apellido Enríquez, viene del nombre de origen alemán "Henry" (hein-rich), que significa "casa poderosa".
